Laughter and Story as Archetype and Healing

Laughter connect us to families, friends and communities and when we can laugh at something it ceases to control us. The opening created by laughter allows us to more easily identify personal archetypal patterns and only then are we able to work toward addressing limiting behaviors and beliefs. When we know our story and can examine or tell it from another perspective, we begin to take control of the next phase and to avoid possible pitfalls. Something equally profound happens in a story when a pattern is broken. These disruptions or major life experiences are the “aha moments” of our stories. The story of the event reveals the seeds, the trajectory and momentum that led to that moment and is a powerful tool for deepening self-awareness.
